THIS year’s Rainbow Run, in support of Children’s Hospice South West’s Little Bridge House hospice in North Devon, will move to Westpoint, near Exeter!
This great family event will take place on Saturday, June 10 and Jayne Jarrett, events fundraiser at Little Bridge House, said: "Rainbow Run is our biggest fundraising event for Little Bridge House.
"Last year the event raised more than £78,000 for the hospice, and was so popular that we have moved to a bigger venue now so even more people can get involved and help to support and raise awareness of our charity."
As well as the Rainbow Run, where you will get showered with coloured powder paint around a 5k course, for 2017 Westpoint will also host a full event village with lots of entertainment for the whole family, including face-painters and bouncy castles, plus music from Radio Exe.
It costs £3.4m to manage Little Bridge House and this cost is met almost entirely by voluntary donations.
Children’s Hospice South West is hoping that the 2017 Rainbow Run will be the charity’s best ever and with up to 3,000 people will taking part.
As children aged from five are able to join in the fun, this is one event where the whole family can take part and make a day of it.
The run is aimed at all levels and those taking part can jog or walk the course if they prefer – the main objective is just to get messy!
Until the end of February, entry is just £15 for adults and £10 for children, with a family ticket for £40. There are also discounts for groups, and registration should be completed online at: www.chsw.org.uk/rainbowexeter .
