A CREDITON social group has received a funding boost, thanks to shoppers at Crediton’s Tesco store at Wellparks and volunteers from the Amber Foundation, the charity which has a centre at Chawleigh where it cares for young homeless and unemployed people in crisis to turn their lives around.
The Crediton Fellowship, a friendship group which meets on the second Monday of each month from 2pm in the Boniface Centre in Crediton, did not have enough fit and able people to complete a charity collection at the Tesco store and the Amber volunteers decided to do it for them.
Amber raised, in donations from shoppers, £124.26 for the Crediton Fellowship, which was recently presented at the store.
Mo Turner, from Crediton Fellowship, thanked the volunteers and Tesco for enabling the collection to take place and added thanks to the shoppers who donated.
Mrs Turner said that the money would be used to help pay for the coach to take members to Teignmouth on a summer outing.
