Good week for Crediton angler, Alan Greenslade

By Crediton Courier Newspaper in Angling

HEAVIEST mirror carp of the week landed at Creedy Lakes, Crediton, was tempted out by Crediton angler Alan Greenslade who fished two-thirds of the way along the right-hand bank and hooked out a beauty which tipped his scales to 17lbs in weight.

Local postman Alan also tempted out four good sized commons of 20lbs 4oz, 18lbs 2oz, 14lbs 12oz and 12lbs 4oz, hooking a tench to round his bag off which made best mixed bag of the week too.

Crediton’s Mike Izzard fished the first swim using his favourite method of surface presentation and had some great sport. His catches were topped with a nice 17lbs specimen common and the remainder of them were double figures in size also.

Jarrod Kastner and Neil Sercombe of Cheriton Fitzpaine had another good session which saw them banking a 20lbs 1oz common, two 15lbs and a pair of 12 pounders all whilst fishing from their preferred swim mid-way on the far bank.

Thorverton angler Wayne Tooze landed three commons best of 11lbs, Robin Tooze, also from Thorverton, hooked one of 11lbs 10oz.
