Crediton Town councillor resigns

By Crediton Courier Newspaper in Local People

A CREDITON businessman this week resigned from his seat on Crediton Town Council.

Dan Webb, manager of Crediton Coffee Company, said that he was struggling to attend the many committee meetings and other events as required by the position and also wished to devote more time to helping run the family business.

Mr Webb also said that he would still help out where possible, including with the Christmas in Crediton event and other aspects of the town, when he could.

Talking to the “Courier”, Mr Webb said that he also had concerns that the council had “become political” under the current chairmanship.

He said that if the political situation changed and he was able to devote more time, he would consider returning to the council.
