OKEHAMPTON Golf Club held a stableford competition on Saturday, March 18 which saw Alan Stokes winning Division One with 40 points.
Alan was followed into second place by Evan Rees with 39 points and Norman Heslop was third with 37 points.
Division Two was won by Rob Green with 38 points, second was John Halliday with 37 points and Pete Okopski was third after countback with 35 points.
Eric Pengelly was the winner of Division Three with 37 points, Perry Vallance took second place with 35 points and Steve Latham was third with 34 points.
The ladies section also entered a stableford competition during the week and the winner of the Silver Division was Francis Harbron with 36 points, Cherry James was second with 35 points and Sue Stanbury was third with 32 points.
The Bronze Division was won by Lady Captain Michelle Widdows with 36 points, Elaine Marwood was second with 33 points and Sylvie Gowers was placed in third with 32 points.
The first Seniors’ Stableford qualifier of the season attracted 32 players and was won by last year’s captain Adrian Tilley with 40 points. Second with 39 points was Richard Goodger, keeping Dennis Edwards on the same score in third place with a better back nine.
