THE people of Crediton are being consulted by Crediton Town Council about plans to build an outdoor gymnasium in the town.

It says that one of the aims of the council’s Open Space Committee is to utilise the open spaces in Crediton.

One area being considered is the large Tarmac area outside the Newcombes Meadow toilet block, where it would like to install free-to-use fitness equipment.

The Town Council is interested to hear the views of residents in order that it can gain a better understanding of the community’s views and requirements.

A questionnaire has been circulated and asks the type of fitness equipment people would like to see there and if it is thought to be a good idea or not and who in the person’s household would use it.

Examples of some of the types of equipment that could be installed are given on the questionnaire form, which is available from the Crediton Town Council Office, Council Offices, Market Street, Crediton EX17 2BN or email: . The Town Council telephone number is 01363 773717 and the Town Council office is open to the public from 10am to 2pm, Monday to Friday.
