NORTH Tawton Rugby Club held their annual reception to say thank you to the individuals and businesses in the town which have supported them with sponsorship and services during the season.
Once again two teams were raised to play visitors from Exeter Saracens’ Second and Third Fifteen.
North Tawton First team won their match, with what was in the end a convincing display, despite a typical Tawton wobble at the start of the second half.
The Seconds lost to a side which had the advantage of a good set of three-quarters, but all enjoyed a good day’s rugby and an excellent social evening in the clubhouse.
The alternative rugby match later in the evening was fortunately not reported on, though some photos are rumoured to exist.
Tomorrow the final game at Taw Meadow is the President’s Fifteen against North Tawton, a traditional end to the season.
The club would like to thank all their supporters and hope to see everyone back next season.
